WE NEED A SMALL MIRACLE

Jeff became unresponsive early this morning. Tina is having him move to ICU and he will be on life support while the doctors test for brain activity. It's a huge kick in the stomach, I know, but everyone needs to be praying for Jeff right now. Tina's amazing. This is the strongest I've heard her in a long time, please keep her in your prayers as well.

Coach Blizzy,
Hang in there bub... I know you're pushing as hard as you can right now. Stay low and drive until the play is over, but finish through the block. I love you coach and you know all my prayers are comin' your way. You know I'm at UGA so I'm going to need you to get better so I can invite you up here and tailgate. Without a doubt I know you'll be better by the SEC championship to see the Dawgs triumph. Just finish the block Coach.

Ms. Tina,
I know you've been through more than anyone in this whole thing, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for being there for Coach every breathing moment. It's a hard and tough road, but just know you got the support of me and everyone else. If you need anything, you have my cellphone. I love you so much and thanks for all that you've done and what you're doing.

Keep fighting, I'll be back in Conyers soon--

May God be with you both... Just remember, Jeff can hear you and feel you with him (while on life support). I was there once and I can tell you that I heard family and friends around me. Keep talking to him and let him know that there are so many people who love him (you too Tina).

I sent out a request to Christians that I know will drop what they are doing and really pray for the Blount family. You are all in HIS hands and HIS grace will carry you through this rough road. Rely on your faith for the answers as God is the only one that knows what you are going through and why. Your in our prayers, hang in there.

Tina,

I have been staying in close contact with Chasity and my Mom, because Dad is still out there also, but I wanted you to know we are thinking and praying for you. Stay Strong for Jeff and the kids.
Jeff, hang in there Tina needs you, we all know how tough you are and the students of Conyers need you also! We are all praying for you. God is not done yet!!!!

Stay strong and do not waver in your faith. All things do work together for good. God does still answer prayer and God does still heal. Sometimes His healing does not come in the form that we were hoping or would have expected. This is confusing and faithbusting to many people. Stay the course, I know that Jeff has witnessed to very many lives throughout this medical battle, as too, have his family. Tina, your family is being lifted up daily by my church in Kernersville, NC. Be encouraged and stay strong. Our God will provide the strength needed for each moment.
Praising God for every breath,
Sheri

Just wanted to share:

Today when I read the blog, my special needs students asked why I was upset. I explained to them about my wonderful friends Jeff and Tina Blount. When I was finished, one boy raised their hand and asked if we could all say a prayer together for "this coach and his family". A classroom of students with special needs- touched by your story, not knowing who you are, praying for you and your family.

A very special moment.

The Rockdale Class of '85 is praying for all of you. Even though we may not see or talk with each other often, we still all care for one another. When one is ill, we are concerned; when one is suffering, our hearts ache; when one is in God's hands, we pray and we pray hard. Jeff, we are praying as hard as we can for you and your family. This last update took my breath from me, but I know we have to have faith in God and trust in him. You are so strong and such a good person. God is looking over you and your family. We will all continue to pray. Keep fighting.

Tina, lean on those around you. God has many angels there with you that you can depend on. You guys are loved.

Jeff and Tina and all family -

I have been in prayer all day for all of you. My heart hurts for you. If I could take some of the burden from either of you I would gladly shoulder it.

Please know I am here any time you need me.

I wanted to post the prayer that I always fall to:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff--they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.

Psalms 23: 1-6

Know that God's plan is greater than us. We just have to hold on for the ride.

My kids will be wearing their DNR shirts to CMS and Hightower tomorrow. They pray for you almost as much as I do.

We are with you in spirit and prayer....

Love,
Billie, Jordan and Jaxon Bilbrey

Jeff,
I am not sure if you will remember me or not. We had a college class together at GCSU. You were working on your Specialist degree and I was working on my Masters degree. During our class meetings we discovered that I knew you sister Traci... we both live in Cochran. I have been keeping up with your progress through her and your blog. I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you and your family are going through this difficult time. Our Heavenly Father is the great physician and He is in control. My Prayers are with you and your family! Brandi Barrs

Hello to Jeff, his family, his friends, Conyers residents and Georgia folks from Gwen Haug Lyle in the Rocky Mountains of Salt Lake City. My family will continue to pray for you and lit candles for you at Mass last night.
As we reach the Fall season of our lives, things go less and less as planned. A soft touch, a kind word, a tight embrace may be the best way to communicate right now. I'll leave you with a favorite quote, and pray that Jeff will never, ever again be in any kind of physical or emotional pain. Blessings to you from the mountain goat crew out west,
Gwen, Tom, and Will
“Courage does not always roar, sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’” Y'all take care now.
