2 Timothy 4:7-8 (King James Version)
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Jeff's purpose on earth is revealed, he was a wonderful man and will never be forgotten.
We pray that the Blount family find comfort in knowing he has no more suffering and no more pain, he is healed. We will continue to pray during your time of sorrow.

Jeff had a dream that he would one day be speaking to others about his journey with cancer. He is.
May God be with you all during this difficult time.

Tina -
I wanted to give you this web address before I forget. This is an organization for children who have lost a parent. I have heard good things about them.

Dear Tina -
Ed and I wanted to express our deepest sympathies. You, Drew, Megan, Matthew, and your families are and always will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God's grace bring you peace.

I did not know Jeff well. He was a friend of my brother. I have been touched by his story. I just viewed his youtube video (Aug. 3). He asked for prayer and trusted that God had a purpose. That in and of itself shows God's purpose. A man that can glorify God in even the worst of times is truly a great man of God. His ability to praise God and inspire others will give all of those going through the same thing strength to fight! Our time on this earth is merely a blink of an eye. Some people think of heaven as a metaphorical "happy" place. In TRUTH, it is real and it is our home. We are here on earth for a purpose. Jeff's had been fulfilled and he was able to go home! Glory to God! I pray for his family now. May you all have peace that surpasses ALL understanding.May you feel Jeff's presence and God's around you always. Strength. That is something I believe that Jeff taught everyone...even me in the few times that I was privileged enough to speak with him. God bless you, Blount Family.

Tina, Drew, and Meagan,
Salem dedicated tonight's game to Coach. There was not a dry eye in the stadium as Bob Cole remembered Jeff. Bob choked up and so did we. Salem Won!!! 10 to 7 over Loganville. Those boys played for their Coach Blount and we felt his presence everywhere tonight. At the end of the game the student section chanted "Coach Blount" to honor him over and over. The whole Salem side chanted for him. I know he was watching over his boys tonight. It was a sad, sad day but those boys were not going to let their Coach down. Salem Pride in 09!!! Go Noles!
Dear Blount Family,
I am an '06 alum. and although i never had coach blount as a teacher i remeber him quit well. His love for teaching and coaching was very apparent...the football games would not have been the same with out him on the side lines hoppin and hollaring...even if we were doing so well...thats a true fan. i know his love of teaching helped many students and really got them through their freshmen year. I know becasue many of those students were good friends of mine and im not sure some of them could have gotten through it without him. God Bless you Coach Blount and your family. We can only hope that there more people like him in this world...and remeber...Do not fear!
