UPDATE AUGUST 2 2008 SATURDAY

Everything is going well. Jeff isn't feeling 'great', but compared to 2 weeks ago, I am sure he would say that he is a million dollars, one that's been roughed up a little. Tina is back in mommy mode. She is going out today to find Megan the perfect backpack to start school with.

Last night, was chicken stir fry night. Our dinner volunteers continue to tempt a man who spends 90% of the time nauseated, to eat and Tina loves it. Thanks to Alisa Begitschke for the wonderful chicken stir fry meal and cookies.

Tina is hopeful that once Jeff settles down and has a quiet moment, he will be able to publish a post, himself. Check back soon.

I just want to let Jeff and Tina know that they are an inspiration. I dropped food off to them yesterday, and first of all, they are both so pleasant. Considering the circumstances, they both look wonderful and so happy to have each other. That is the kind of family everyone should strive for. It makes you take a look at your own life and say "Hey, I am blessed!" Try not to dwell on the petty things in life, and be thankful for what you have. Thank you Blount family for sharing your journey with so many of us....

I ran into Lucy, Tina and Megan today...Jeff hang in there! I remember those days and believe me there is a light at the end of all of this. Take it easy and just take it day by day.
God Bless,

Hey Jeff--Are you ready for the turkey and dressing yet? I am so happy you are at home. I can't come to see you yet as I have been battling a sinus infection/cold/crud for 2 weeks and I certainly do not want to bring my germs around you. God has been telling everyone that you are going to beat this and I know that it is true. You are a true inspiration to us all. I love you "little man". Auntie Anne
