My journey against Cancer is still an ongoing process as of right now. I completed my fourth bout of Chemo this past Wednesday and I have not had any complications so far from this treatment... I felt good enough to go the the North Georgia mountain and wore out the Dillard House and Highland, N.C. It was a good get away for me and Tina.
This is me at the country store.
The kids have been in Florida with Granny Lacey for the whole week.... While at the doctor on Wednesday, we did not learn much from the appointment as we were seen by a Nurse Practioner that did not know much about my case... Their is still some talk of me going through a stem cell surgery to improve my chances of battling the Cancer permantley. In some cases, the type of Cancer that I have tends to come back within the first year... So we will have to see what happens. Right now, I know that I have two more Chemo's and two more Pet Scans as of right know.... Keep praying .... "Do Not Fear"......CBlount

Wow Jeff,
I know that this is serious, but I did not know that the chance of cancer coming back in the first year was so high. Good Luck and keep posting! I think there are tons of us who are ready and waiting when you need us.
Hey Jeff....
This is Lex... I have been reading your blogs and I am so elated that things are going great for you. As you know I have cancer - Leiomyosarcoma - soft tissue/connective tissue cancer. My type of cancer does not respond to Radiation and/or Chemo. My treatment is and has been by surgery... But I strongly feel and truely believe in the power of prayer and a POSITIVE outlook. And I guess I can say that it is true because I have been battling my cancer and I call it the "dragon" for 30 years- and the beast hasnt won yet!!!! My last battle was 4 years ago with another tumor... And I have some pending surgery in the future... but.Anyway , I just wanted to tell you and say that with your familys love and support along with your wonderful outlook on this battle of yours , you should win this War on cancer and be NED ( no evidence of disease) for years to come. If you ever need someone to talk to and or need an ear to vent , please dont hesitate to call me. Our wonderful Lord doesnt give us problems we cant handle .... May God be with you during your trials and treatments and give you peace and comfort when you need it. Hang in there Jeff - We all love you. ... Alexis Kelly
